thank you for the bad visual alignment.

well, i was going to rant about the left alignment, but then i took out my trusty ruler and discovered the title of the movie is aligned. i guess it is just one of those optical things. however, in the print ads it is definitely not aligned at all. i stand by that. what is the word spacing set on for the line 'for smoking'? 200? 2000?

now i have to go find the print ad to vindicate myself.

my true thought is that this poster is awful with no redeeming characteristics.

it reminds of the bullworth poster.

that poster still makes me want to vomit.

Yes, its true that this poster undoubtedly sucks. And it doesn't matter if the display lines are geometrically lined up, optical alignment is the real deal (and there it fails miserably). And the centered type block in the top left... woof... especially the lastline with just enough extra space before it that it seems like an error (punctuated by the fact that its not capitalized. What a piece of crap.

ya know, ray kampf just told me tonight that i need to see the opening sequence. i guess it is really good? i'll track it down and post it then we can discuss amongst ourselves and decide if it makes the poster bearable.
