one of the problems with music videos never being shown commercially is that unless you are obsessed with the artist or the director you never know when something new comes out. hence gondry's video for paul mccartney which was released at the end of may.
it's not nearly as fun as a stack of animated legos but i guess it's ok. kind of cheesy. damn it, the song is kind of catchy and now i'll have sir paul playing in my brain all day. no, it will fade away pretty quickly i'm sure.

i am not pleased. i think i need a shot of insulin.
but, hey! its gareth keenan!
i have to say that seeing it on tv this am made it much better. there are some gondry'esque things towards the end like the fire burning in the washing machine and the washing machine running in the fireplace. and the song is kind of catchy as hell and gets stuck in your head for the rest of the day.
oh, gondry also makes a cameo at the end of the video playing the drums, deja vu of his dvd's interface.
yeah... i just feel as though it is too much a rip off of the white stripes' "dead leaves on the dirty ground". except much less sinister. and more except... can it really be a rip off if what gondry is ripping off was his own work to begin with?
