we love to borrow and it shows

so i didn't report on the new delta identity mainly because i think armin vit's blog does a much more thorough job of reporting on identity than i do. but not to be left out i thought i should maybe post something about it.

so anyways, this is the new logo (created by lippincot mercer).



which looks strangely like this (created by someone famous in 1965).


and is damn near identical to the way their competition is set up (mark by saul bass, updated type and such by pentagram a few years back).
